it didn't it wasn't really a rain jacket as much as it was a windbreaker.
a super dorky windbreaker at that.

I remember a very similar instance while staying over at a friend's house, being forced to wear a nylon windbreaker out to dinner. it was the snap up coaches jacket, unlined with the school seal on the left chest. having already gotten in trouble this type of jacket before, I put up a big fuss about ...

do you recall putting up a fight about wearing it? and do you remember whether or not you actually loathed them? or was it a veiled attempt to hide your interest in them?

I'm ok with hoods, and I am ok without hoods, but what I really don't like are detachable hoods, and hideaway hoods. for the same reason I never liked those pants or jackets that had detachable legs or sleeves. I've never been one for additional seams, zippers or pockets.

being close to 300lbs. it's hard for me to find nylon one piece suits in retail, or even wholesale markets that will fit me. having said that I managed to find a couple of pvc backed nylon motorcycle suits, and a full pvc green chemical suit. they all have their advantages [which is being an all in ...

for me, it's always two unlined nylon jackets, and two pair of track pants with plastic pants underneath, or the plastic pants sandwiched between the two nylon layers. if you want to humiliate me, make me wear the plastic pants as the top most layer with the jackets tucked into everything.
