I found these about three years ago, downloaded from I know not where. Obviously they are screen caps from an old film (1940's?) which I can not find anywhere as googling 'Rubbertex' failed to find any results.
As you can imagine, this would be an exciting piece of film! Anyone here ever seen it?

'Rubbertex'
Re: 'Rubbertex'
I would put it down to the USA rather than UK, could be wrong though
Re: 'Rubbertex'
I have googled Rubbertex as well and found two hints. One is to an Australian Company, which, however doesn`t lead too much further in the clothing business. They are still in operation and can be found under rubbertexaustralia.com.au. The other link I found is to an Italian Company which used the rubbertex-brandname obvioulsy somewhere in the fifties and they were manufacturers of rubberised fabrics and more. Nowadays they operate under the name Bobet group in Italy and their homepage gives some hints on the Rubbertex-Brand. They used Rubbertex as a brand from the late 40ies till the seventies.
If you look closer at the pictures I assume that ghese have been made at some sort of trade fair, regarding the environment of the models. (If yopu could just take your eyes away from the raincoated ladies for a sec
) On one picture on of the models holds up a card with a number (10) which I would relate may be to some sort of fashion presentation. May be this gives some clue on the pics.

Re: 'Rubbertex'
Thankyou so much for posting this. What a wonderful film, apart from the raincoat fashion show you get a ladies bare bum in the shower, men in raincoats (!) and how to put on a plastic mac without putting your handbag down!!
Thanks again.
Phil.
