Vintage Flash Archive

Post by Raincoat Fan »

Has any one been able to join vintageflasharchive.com.
Having tried may times but only ever get that there is a payment issue, even though I have tried a couple of different credit cards that works every else, I have e-mailed the web master several times, I have not had a reply.

I have seen a couple of rainwear images they from the site on another site and they look very good. Is any one else a member or had a similar problem.
If any one has pictures from the site do the wish to pm me for photo excahnges.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

would suggest that any site where the webmaster is that indifferent to enquiries is one that you should ever ever under any circumstances give credit card details to

Hi Merv
Yes I agree with you, but is is such a shame when you know that from the images found on another site, that there are some possible hidden gems. Being as how in these difficult economic times, you would expect webmasters / site owners would wish to encourage people to join, not discourage them.

Ah, you mean the difficult economic times where webmasters should encourage you to join so you can share their work with others - yep Ray's back on his soapbox

I think you being a bit judgemental here, Ray and Paul. Raincoat fan wants to pay to join this site. There is nothing to suggest he wants to pirate the pics. If the owner of the site was that paranoid. why set up the site in the first place? As we have said before, nothing is really safe on the internet.

It's good to see Raincoat Fan does actually want to pay for the content but the part that concerns me is

'If any one has pictures from the site do the wish to pm me for photo excahnges'

Maybe the site owner set up the site in good faith hoping to partly cover its running costs by asking for payment but lots of people decided just to share his work so he gave up on it - it happens

Hi Ray
YES I DO want to pay for the images, however having tried at least 7-8 times, the last being twice yesterday, I asked out of frustration and as a last resort if any one had some as a swap. It is certainly not for the lack of trying!!

Just as a further thought. I have swap of pictures on previous occasions. Some of which were from commercial sites that I had not been aware off, which I subsequently joined.
