rain

Post by merv »

yesterday it actualy rained in the East of England for what was just about the first time in ages. Trouble was it was so humid that wearing rainwear was far too sweaty. A walk to the shop in my pakamac and by the time I got back my tee shirt was so wet had to change it anyway so may as well have just got the tee shirt wet

HI,
Here in the western part of the Netherlands we have a rainshortage of 200 mm.
We had only some mm"s last weeks.
Perhaps at the end of the week some rain ??
I have forgotten what rain is nearly. :(
Greetings,
Peter

Certainly did rain Merv on Sat 24th but. As you say was very humid.
Between 12.45 & 1.30pm we had a tremendous amount of rain.
An hour later I went dog walking wearing my Pul mac but the rain stopped within ten minutes and with it being so humid I took off and carried my mac :(

Hi,
finally tonight it rains and the temperature is not too low. I just spend 90 minutes walking under the rain wearing only pvc clothes from pvc-u-like. a slip, a PVC jacket , jeans and a sweat shirt. All are made of shiny black pvc . And I wore also my big hooded charcoal see throu raincoat. . Only rubber boots are not from PVC-u-like.

I like the song of the raindrops beating the hood. It was a very nice walk. I hope the rain will go one to have a second night walk wearing my April rain green raincape above the pvc clothes

Hi Cirevinyl,

Which brand of rubber boots do you wear ?
A year ago I had Hunter boots ,but the heels were quickly (After one year=about 12 walkings ) worn, so I could see the holes in it, which were filled by small stones...
It was told to me that Hunters are made to walk on sand not hard street stones.
Does somebody here know what to do ?

Try Aigle, I bought a pair about 4 years ago & the soles don't wear out nearly as quick as Hunters do
