Amazing timing of this thred..
Last week I had another one of my out of town business trips for my boss. About 3 hours of driving, 30 minutes at the customer and 3 hours back.
In the past, if the weather is the least bit threatning, I wear my Jeantex clear see through jackets. I have never had a negative comments, and, as I have written here in the past, several very nice comments, from the females.
Well, last week, I wore a slightly more than "straight" raincoat, the FunPlastic CP171HTW. What I like about these is that the 2XL's fit my large US male body. The HTW is a high gloss, see through white. It has become my wife's and I's favorite fabric. Anyway, while wearing this, it definately caught eyes. All female. On the way down, I stopped for a quick bite to eat. Two women came up to me ask commented on the coat, both touching it.
At the customers place, I kept the coat on, floating between a server room and the office managers office. When I was leaving, even she made a comment on how nice the coat looked, but she then asked if she could touch it. I said yes, but I took it off, and held it out for her to put on. She obliged and let out a soft sigh, feeling it against her arms, thanks to a sleeveless blouse . She kinda turned red. I went back to the server room, wrote down funplastic's website, along with PUL, and then wrote in the CP171HTW number, stated mine was an XL. I went back to her, finding her just taking it off. I gave her the note, she took a quick look and said thank you very much.
So was that it for the day? Nope. I stopped later on to have a late lunch. I was being watched by a woman my age. After 10 minutes, she came up, and sat next to me, and grabbed my arm, stroking the plastic sleeve and talked. A lot. I've been married for a few years, but I knew what she was saying to me was an invite. Flatering, but no thank you.
I went home, and a little bit later my wife came home. I told her the stories about the comments, as this jacket is rather shiny. She listened, and laughed, saying those women have good judgement.
Was that it for the night? No. Around 10 PM, my wife had snuck up behind me, and threw one of her scarfs around my eyes, blindfolding me. She led me to the bedroom, and with me standing up, she stripped me, then put a raincoat on me. Could have been pink, I don't know, I was blindfolded. She then pushed me into bed, and the next thing she had my arms into the restraints. Then came two long dry cleaning plastic bags that she tied to my feet, and those went to the bed posts. I'm blindfolded, in a plastic raincoat, and tied to the bed.
She then role acted like she was that last lady, trying to seduce me. Can I tell you my woman is amazing? It was a great time for me.
Will I wear a bright pink or yellow raincoat the next time? No. But I will wear that shiny one. Makes me think there are a lot of women who know what the fabric is good for.
Do you play rainwear "dares" with yourself?

I was on a holiday trip at my sister-in-law in Hildesheim, Germany with my wife.
On a day when rain was expected later on the day ,we went by train to visit Celle ,another German town.
My wife and sister took their umbrella's with them ,I didn't want an umbrella , and took my cape with me in the rucksac . The whole day it stayed dry ,but on our way back in the train to Hildesheim it began to rain.
From the train station to my sister's-in -law home we had to walk half an hour throuhg the city .The ladies took their umbrella's and I had to put on the cape ....
Nobody looked at me ,most Germans are the same as other people ... they are busy with their own to stay dry.It was the first time I wore the raincape in public.
In some days we go to another place in Germany for a three weeks holiday and I will do the same with my P.U.L. cape, it is good possible to do ,if it is a warm day ,dry weather with perhaps some rain later ,and you are not home again from a tour through the Bavarian mountains..
Greetings ,Peter
Hi Peter,
there is nothing to dare about walking in rain wear. On windy days I still wear my nylon windbreaker sometimes even multilayered depending on the wind chill. On sunny days with a lot of wind I tend to lighter colours (white, yellow or red) and on cloudy days more on the dar coloured side (green, blue).

Hi,
Since that holiday in Germany , some years ago, I have walked more and more iin rainwear in public , (as it rains of course.)
Now I have a Plagumcape from Fun Plastic ,Germany. The Plagum is 0,28 mm thick and the cape weights 1,5 kg ,so about 3 pounds.
(Plagum or Gumla is a mixture of plastic and rubber ,and forms a very smooth material )
It is a long cape ,15 cm above ground ,so I don't have to wear trousers, only rubber boots.
It is a nice cape ,and I walked already in it on rainy days also in public near shops.
A week ago I met some ladies walking their dogs and because I know them by face I have shown my cape to them and have asked them how they thought about wearing a cape .
I also told them that my wife is not enthousiastic about my rainwear ,and they said again it is not odd .
They said that it was normal practical rainwear ,and I was not on a modeshow , so not strange to wear it.
Greetings ,Peter

I think we just have to be bold and confident enough to do the practical thing. Umbrellas are a pain because one hand is tied up. Why not wear what we enjoy wearing. I've never had a negative comment either. Dave, you are a lucky guy, but maybe there are more closet fetishists out there than we think. Strut the stuff!
