Nylon macs

Post by angelamac »

Hi All
As a lover of nylon macs and mostly hooded ones, I sometimes feel rather alone. It seems that most members are into PVC and SBR. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with either but just a preferance for the rustle and soft feel of nylon. It is sad that apart from I think Rainmac nylon macs are no longer available. There have this summer been quite a few rain jackets in all sorts of colours and styles made of quite thin and fine nylon which are great and I have five of them and wear them quite often, rain and shine.
I am just wondering am I completely alone or are there a few nylon lovers out there but hiding under their hoods.

Not on your own
Have two pairs of nylon waterproof trousers& a Cotton Traders nylon pak a mac complete with hood.
My wife has similar from Target Dry

I also have a Regatta Nylon outside / rubber inside zip up cagoul - must be from the 80,s I guess - found it when I was clearing a wardrobe out.
Now wear it when weather dictates it

Have always loved nylon rainwear since I was a kid. Always has a fantastic shimmer and clings to the body when wet!! I own a single breasted mac and a nylon Calvin Klein trench as well as two pairs of nylon rainpants that I routinely wear. Love the nylon easily as much as rubber or PVC!!

Hi, I am NOT one to spam but just a quickie - have a look at my site www.shinymac.com lots of good condition second-hand nylon mack's (and other stuff) there, the site is operated more as a hobby than a business, prices I think are fair (or make me an offer) and it's run by me, a long time devotee of all things Rubber, PVC, Nylon etc etc.
Kind Regards Charles

I wouldn't consider it spam, but there is a separate "for sale" board that might be a more appropriate spot for this post.

Love what you've done with that site by the way, and the prices are more than fair...just waiting to find some stuff in my wife's and my sizes that we don't already have.

Thanks for the tip Bill,
Will check it out, am new to posting on Rainwear Central.

Keep checking the site - early next week I have another 30 items promised here on sale or return - I know not what until the owner arrives, will probably be vintage fishing / sea faring / sailing / rubber and PVC and from what I know of him probably largish sizes.
Whoo Hoo as I get first dibs I am getting quite excited myself.
Kind Regards Charles
