think as a new user you have rather missed the point. This is a forum that people can post things on to, not just a chance for you to get free advertising although as far as I am aware you are welcome to do so.

If you would also like to contribute to the forums in other ways besides using it solely for free advertising purposes I am sure you would be most welcome to do so.

One other point, george537 may like to actually provide a link to the auction he is promoting as at the moment the post is useless unless we are psychic

Hi Merv,

In fairness, this is the 'For Sale' section - I'd argue that posting items that people here would be likely to be interested is a decent contribution. Accusing me of seeking 'free advertising' (not at all my intention or how I saw it) is cynical and doesn't really make me want to contribute to the wider forums, if that's how you greet people.

My objection was, that its easy to start new thread, so piggybacking on someone else's post is unnecessary. It seems that every other post in this section has managed to avoid that. Its no big deal, if that's how things work here, then fine, my apologies.
