There are people that simply like the look of raincoats. I have a friend that has three raincoats simply because she likes jackets.
I enjoy rainy days and the hope that I will see a lovely shiny raincoat and some shiny wellies.

Mmmmmmm...What a joy to see someone in a mac and even better when I am wearing one as well

I do wonder how many people see someone in a mac...be it male or female...and think...Nice but would love to wear a mac themselves but because it is considered as not cool they are apprehensive to wear a mac

I say...do your own thing...wear a mac and enjoy it..I know I do

I wonder that myself. I saw a woman in a wet look raincoat walking down the road a few months ago and wondered if she was wearing it because of the rain or was she into raincoats herself. I wonder how many people passed her and got turned on. I know I did.

I wonder how many people think that they are just wearing their rain-gear for the reason of keeping dry and would'nt even consider that anyone else could find it attractive or in a fetish way.

There are quite a few times when I have been out without my rain gear when I have seen someone else in theirs and wished I had mine on at the time. Also whether they would have made a comment and taken the chance to talk or not.

A few times when I have worn my macs out in public someone has made a favourable comment, so I think that even someone who wore it for no other reason than just 'suitable clothes', may think twice if they collected similar comments over time.

Makes you think does'nt it ?

I love to see women wearing shiny PVC raincoats, and enjoy wearing them myself. However, I feel women wear macs because they are practical in wet weather rather than for a fetish, although I have seen some out wearing macs in sunny weather, so I wonder? Maybe it is men who have the fetish though.
I enjoy wearing my ankle length hooded shiny black raincoat inside around the house but I wish I had the courage to wear it outside more in the rain without feeling a little self-concious. Any comments I have had have been favourable.

PVCLOVER, i fully agree. But I also think that many women do wear her raincoat, if it is a fashionable one, even in sunny weather.
Some women may enjoy wearing a PVC raincoat, and many of us dont know how women feel when wearing a pvc raincoat. of course many of us do know it, too. My wife öiked to wear a shiny PVC mac 10 years ago, when it was trendy and en vogue.
But now she doesnt wear it any more. But I like to wear shiny PVC mac when it is raining. or better said, I dare to wear one.
It is not really a typical female type, and it is really shiny (black RA02 or PA3 from PUL). btw the way, you can see my collection on flickr under "rainfash".
I also think that many women have a fetish for Latex clothing rather than rainwear. On TV, there are some reports of the fetish scene, and a lot of women admit, that they like shiny clothes. But they do not mention rainwear explicitely. It is more the Latex type of shiny clothes many of them really like.
So, my personal opinion is : PVC raincoats are seen to be as more practical, whereas Latex clothing is kinky and more fashionable to wear...

Imagine the other way round : If you want your partner to wear a PVC raincoat (because it is our fetish),
, how would you feel if your partner wants you to wear a "cotton apron", if this would be her fetish ?
Assuming that the PVC raincoat does not turn her on, and the cotton apron does not turn you on....but vice versa....

Jjai, you are right. I also got some nice comments from ladies, who see me wearing my shiny black PVC mac when it is raining.
When it rains, I go out with my dogs in my home town, to the city center, and a few ladies commented, that they like how I am protected against the heavy rain. I dont think, nobody identifies this as a fetish, since I am not wearing tyoical female types of raincoats, nor any female type of colour, like red, pink, lilac, or colours typical for ladies. Just shiny black or shiny blue, or glas clear red, black or blue (mainly GCR, GCB from PUL).

Thanks for your comments rainfash. Interesting comment about wearing something for a partner because it is her fetish. If I had someone in my life at the moment who had a particular fetish, I would probably go along with it.
As for my own rainwear, the one's I buy are usually the PVC raincoats from Weathervain. I prefer the shiny black macs, but in the past I have had semi transparent black too. When the wet weather arrives, I am going to have to wear it more out and about rather than hide it indoors!
