Today I had a business course in Cardiff, it will finish tomorrow before I go home all the way back to Swansea, and I must say that it has been quite a while since I have witnessed such a variety of rain wear.
It has been raining heavily in South Wales all last weekend and due to continue all week.
At Cardiff central rail station I must have seen at least eight females - younger than 30 at a guess all wearing 3/4 length, heavy cotton Mackintoshes, in colours from dark Navy to Beige.
Walking through Cardiff there were three or four teenage girls in Red or Black PVC jackets with hoods.
At lunchtime I saw numerous men and women wearing full length trench coats, as well as possibly student females wearing wax jackets and bright wellington boots.
Going back to the station, one middle aged woman in a very shiny Green heavy PVC trench coat and Harrods umbrella.
The highlight of the day was a lovely Red haired woman of about 35 in a stone coloured rubber mackintosh and High glossy Black boots.
I hope it will be the same in Cardiff tomorrow, when I will add my Black SBR trench coat to the cosmopolitan mix there seems to be there !
Has anyone else had significant sightings of members of the public wearing nice rain wear ?
Where is the Raincoat capital of the UK ?

Surely the raincoat capital of the UK is MACKworth in Derbyshire

Today the 2nd and last day of my Cardiff course, but alas, nothing like the sightings of yesterday.
Saying that though, there was a nice Asian girl in a Blue Barbour wax jacket and pink Hunter boots getting off the train in front of me.
Also quite a tall Blonde Scandinavian looking woman wearing an ankle length Red matt vinyl trench coat and White wellingtons.
Apart from those two rather exciting views there were plenty of women and men in the oilskin / Barbour long drovers style rain coats, but not much more plastic or rubber in evidence though.
I should note that there was a stylish male, wearing a long SBR trench coat from Stormclouds wandering about this morning - alright, I own up it was me !
I will see if the sightings compare on Saturday when I go there shopping.
