Rainy Monday Sightings

This past Monday I took the train down to Chicago so I could enjoy a full day of steady showers & lots of deep puddles to walk through in my wellies. Took my Burberry plaid umbrella, my yellow Eddie Bauer slicker with "fireman" clasps & my shiny black Burberry plaid wellies. As usual lots of Hunter wellies in all colors & both matte & glossy finishes, lots of tan cotton trench coats, and a few nice sightings: A middle aged woman in a long black pvc trench, a cute young girl in a shiny pink hooded raincoat from Target (and her equally attractive mother was wearing a salmon colored cotton trench with a hood), a cute young girl in a shiny yellow hooded slicker (looked to be from ASOS from this year's collection), and a beautiful blonde in a yellow polyurethane-coated Helly Hansen belted trench coat with hood and glossy gray Hunters. The latter two were both with their boyfriends so I couldn't bring myself to approach them to pay them a compliment, but the others all appreciated my compliments on their rainwear and told me how nice I looked. A few sales ladies at Saks Fifth Avenue also paid me some nice compliments (one even said I looked like a GQ model). And then I was floored by a young girl not wearing any rain gear, just carrying a small umbrella, who stopped me on the street and asked if she could take my picture since she really loved my outfit. I was so bowled over by this that I agreed, but neglected to ask her to text me the picture, or continue the discussion in any way, and just continued on our separate ways.
