Rainmac Rainwear

Post by blackmacjay »

I just found out that Rainmac has been sold.

Don''t know if the new owners will continue to sell rainwear but, by my guess, probably not.

The current owners are selling the remaining stuff with a sizable discount.

So, anyway you now know so act accordingly.

I am not surprised they are selling the business as they had said they were looking for somebody to take over the business.

Over the years I have purchased two long and one short PVC macs for my wife which she regularly wears however I cannot remember the last time I saw somebody wearing a similar Mac so I presume they had very limited sales of PVC.

Recently one rarely saw an advertisement from them.

Last week my wife wore her black short Mac and I wore my Weathervain short PVC Mac when we went out to a concert and as we were walking in somebody was watching us and said "wow" what fabulous macs you have!

Just a quick update.
The shop will close at 4:00pm on Thursday 19th November. Not sure if that is the last date you can order online.
Another one bites the dust.

I wonder if they will carry on online maybe working from home. The rent/business rates on that shop in Midhurst must be huge. The rates on a smaller shop than theirs local to me was £800
