Female dilemma

Post by Jjai »

I know that nearly all the guys here love to see girls wearing their rainwear, and I think the opposite may apply for the ladies on the forum too ! but while walking around the shops today and seeing two nice sightings of mackintosh clad girls I thought of a question that has plagued me now and again for a few years,

ie:- What type of female would be MORE likely to wear good PVC / Rubber rainwear. Would it be the type of girl who hates getting wet, is very fashion conscious of ruining clothes by becoming wet and would therefore spend more money on better raingear, or
the other type of female being a sort of 'more outdoors' type who may work outdoors be less of a slave to fashion and not mind getting drenched but may wear heavy raingear / workwear around frequently.

The two sightings today that led me to consider my question above was that my first sighting was a tall female around 30 or so wearing a business suit and tall black patent boots but who wore a Red thin Primark style mac - which she looked gorgeous wearing by the way and holding a Jaguar umbrella running to a bus stop. Shortly after I saw a younger teenage girl wearing a bright Yellow two piece construction style thick PVC rainsuit who stood in the pouring rain looking at the offers on the outside of sainsburys window.

Is there anyone else who has any thoughts on this or something similar ? It is good to people watch on a rainy day !

Its a difficult subject because, as many will know, the whole subject of a fetish is confusing and full of myths. Many people still believe that only males are this way inclined and women are not! Of course, we know this to not be true, but such myths exist because typically, the gents are more confident or open about such matters. Maybe its just traditionally been more lady-like to be reserved about the topic.

Either way, I think girls go for what feels good and confidence comes into it. I'm in my 20's, but about 90% of the partners I've had have had 'our' likings... It just seems normal to me now. But as much as confidence comes into it (i.e, not caring about how other people think you look), there is also the notion of discovery. There were many materials/garments that I discovered I 'liked' over a period of time, and some without realising it until I realised I loved them. Because girls are, generally, more fashion orientated, they'll go for clothing is usually not accord to being sensible about the weather! And when they do, they'll stick out like a sore thumb - hence why so few do it. But again, I've met a few partners whom only realised they liked certain materials after I shared my own passions, and after it was the "Wow" phase!

So... Difficult to sum up, but I think it comes down to confidence and discovery. I'm probably the only guy to wear Hunters to University, but when I do I regularly get compliments or smiles (always from girls!) In fact, one girl the other day said they looked well fit!

Hows that for a greeting! :P

Well. I've seen women wearing lovely, shiny, glossy rainmacks over the past week.
I wear a long Jeantex blue raincoat in pvc. It goes down past my Hunter wellies.
Two women last week told me it was really nice.
I've also got a pair of Dunlop navy wellies. Love wearing them too.
I've seen women in raincoats, I don't think they view it was a fetish thing, more a practical piece of clothing.

I do find when wearing rubber/pvc rainwear & wellies that I'm more likely to receive compliments from women than men. Usually women over the age of 50. It seems they're more likely to appreciate it for the functionality as well as the look.

Hi Bill, Whenever I have had a nice comment about my macs it has always been from a female, and more often than not in middle age plus, especially when I am in SBR around town and older women that get on the bus have remarked that they haven't seen rubber raincoats for years as they used to be so popular at one time.

I blame so many cars about, it is so easy to get anywhere if you live in a town or city not to get wet most people don't even possess a raincoat. The only exception is when it has been raining real hard for days and then the sightings become more frequent.
On the other hand loads of girls are wearing wellies now, what a pity that someone does'nt make pvc macs with nice modern jazzy styles like some of the wellingtons you can see around.
