Smooth or textured/patterned

Post by HeatherluvsPVC »

Do you prefer smooth shiny PVC jackets/coats or textured/patterned?
I personally love the look and feel of smooth shiny PVC over textured or patterned but that,s just me.
Also what do you think of the shiny Puffa style coats and jackets, I'm not sure!
I love the shine but feel the look is marred by the stitching.

Smooth PVC looks and feels so good. Not keen on Puffa style myself.

Definately Smooth SBR also with a Sou'wester, but shiny Bright PVC as well especially in Red or Yellow.

For me it has to be semi-see-through plastic, soft and preferably smooth but I wouldn't object to being made to wear a textured or patterned plastic mac.

Definetly smooth, because I like monochromatic and it looks better.

There's a pattern forming here and I'm not going to stray from it! The smoother and heavier the PVC is the more I like it, my favourite rainsuit is still my Maxden one.

I have worn smooth PVC since being a teenager many years ago as I am into sailing and standard waterproof clothing was a PVC smock and trousers.
I purchased a black PVC mac for my wife before we were married and she has worn PVC rainwear for the past 50 years. When specialist companies such as Macmac, Cocoon, Weathervain and Rainmac came on the 'scene' I have purchased and worn Black smooth PVC trench coats and have been for a walk today duly attired in my black heavyweight PVC trench coat purchased from Weathervain.
