How to change my user name, tried in control panel but cant see an option

In Windows 10 try Settings/Sign in Options/Change Password

As an alternative, try creating a new user, give it 'administrator' privileges and then delete the old user.

Hi rubbermackintosh, thanks for the help but as Gaz said its my user name Im trying to change

When I go into 'Edit account settings' it says

"To change your password, your email address, or your username, you must enter your current
password"

Which seems to indicate you can change it, but there doesn't seem to be that option in reality

Its no big deal I just wanted to remove the defunkt part of my user name
