Bought my girlfriend a raincoat

It’s a glossy raincoat by Easywear, but she wants to wear it once the summer rolls around instead of Winter/Spring. It doesn’t rain much over where I live, and she knows it. I bought it for rainy days, but she prefers the summer instead of now. What should I tell her? I don’t want her to suffocate or pass out. However, for wanting to do something this stupid, maybe I should just sit back until she begins to truly sweat underneath and says that she’s burning up with the coat on her, zipped up and buttoned up might I add.

At a guess I think it may be made of PVC??

I know how hot southern Spain gets in summer, but not in the north. If she wants to wear a raincoat in summer, let her. When she gets overheated, she may take your point! Nice raincoat though.
