Beautiful research work. Thank you for having shared it. Numerous movies are known but it is always a pleasure to see them again ... and to discover the others
Re: Plastic rainwear in movies
Well done Regenhoedje - excellent work. I've seen clips from quite a few of them but some are new to me. I particularly love the German actress (name unknown unfortunately) in the 1948 film 'Finale' - lovely vintage plastic mac she's wearing.

where do I find the scenes? in other words at what time do I need to skip to?

The guy has been good enough to do all the hard work finding the films and posting the links, is it beyond you to do some work for yourself or do you need to be spoon fed everythingrainwearseeker wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 1:54 pm where do I find the scenes? in other words at what time do I need to skip to?

it still would be polite to have them narrowed down?Ray wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 7:53 pmThe guy has been good enough to do all the hard work finding the films and posting the links, is it beyond you to do some work for yourself or do you need to be spoon fed everythingrainwearseeker wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 1:54 pm where do I find the scenes? in other words at what time do I need to skip to?

What would be polite is for you to at least say thank you to the guy who took the trouble to find these gems and post the links, he could have just kept them to himself
What would be polite is to stop moaning and whinging and actually add something to the forum rather than taking all the time
Maybe you could watch the movies and index the scenes
If you want the scenes narrowing down then you find them between the start and the end
Re: Plastic rainwear in movies
Some of you may remember there used to be a site with a very comprehensive listing of hundreds of films with rainwear scenes. Sadly this disappeared three or four years ago, is the database still out there somewhere?
I sort of agree with Rainwearseeker but also Ray. I am grateful that the films are posted but personally when I post any videos of length I always mention the scene time and try to say something about it.

Re: Plastic rainwear in movies
I mentioned earlier that I like the actress wearing the plastic mac in the 1948 film 'Finale' - done a big of digging, her name is Edith Schneider for anyone who is interested.
Re: Plastic rainwear in movies
Films with rainwear scenes: As mentioned above by Plasphil, the comprehensive list is no longer available on the Internet as far as I can see. That being the case, this is probably the best link to use: http://vinylrain.free.fr/ It's not comprehensive but there are many films with nice scenes to choose from. Click on the link then go to 'Videos' - 'Movies' (left-hand column).
