Gannex raincoats

Does anyone remember Gannex Raincoats. Reminded of them yesterday when I read about former Prime Minister, Harold McMillan's effects being sold. Among them was his famous gannex raincoat which went for £500. I had one given to me once but rarely wore it. Whilst they were rubber coated the smell of them was far too strong for me and not the same smell such as SBR. Wonder whether McMillan was a rubberist.

Something sticks in my mind that they were made at either Bradford / Huddesfield which was Vwilsons constituency
