Yesterday I had some storms here in the USA. Very heavy rain, a few rumbles of thunder, and no lightning. I stood and walked around in my backyard getting absolutely pummeled by the large droplets of heavy rain (the storms were dumping 3+ inches per hour!). The retro Helly Hansen long collared raincoat, rain pants, and rain hat stood up quite well to the intense rain. Getting whipped and lashed by a hard, wind driven rain never gets old!!!

Much as I enjoy the sun, think we are due for some rain this weekend in my area. Time to get the plastic raincoat on again...looking forward to it!

There has been heavy rain across Northern England today. Had the day out wearing my pul cagoule, going to visit the football museum in Manchester. It was good to get my raincoat on again. Only saw 1 other person sensibly wearing plastic though. The "drowned rat" look seems very popular!
Must admit I took my time going home as didn't want to take my coat off.
