Can anyone who has bought a Stutterheim Ekeby, or maybe Stockholm, raincoat tell me whether the hood has a 'peak' to keep the rain off your forehead and face. This would be similar to the peak on my Berghaus Paclite 2.0 Gore-tex jacket which I use for hill walking.
I can't find any clear pictures that show this and have emailed Stutterheim but not had a reply

Re: Stutterheim Raincoats
I got mine from size? when they were on sale. It's the standard stockholm coat and it does not have a peak. It still keeps you and nice and dry as the hood is a bit larger than most.
Re: Stutterheim Raincoats
I agree with MacExp that the Stockholm does not have a peak as such, but the sides of the hood are slightly scalloped for side vision . There is a 50% sale on at the moment - which has tempted me to add to my collection . If you want one , move now as they tend to end abruptly or by selling out of the popular sizes .
I also agree that they are great quality and functional . I have several & never been disappointed !

Thank you MacExp and Onslow for the advice. I was asking the question as was aware of the sale so it is the ideal time to buy!

I bought an Ekeby raincoat and am very pleased with it. It's slightly longer than the Stockholm and does have a larger hood

I am trying to look for a yellow opal raincoat. i am disappointed that they discontinued the opal brand. i have a red lantern opal and a yellow stockholm.
Re: Stutterheim Raincoats
I feel your pain. Several years ago they had all the old Opal colors (blue, yellow, green, black) on sale & I failed to pull the trigger. I did manage to get a black one and a red lantern, but I really wanted a yellow and a bluerainwearseeker wrote: ↑August 19th, 2019, 12:20 pm I am trying to look for a yellow opal raincoat. i am disappointed that they discontinued the opal brand. i have a red lantern opal and a yellow stockholm.

Have you had a look at the product range of farmerrain? They have some Opalo jackets and pants

Yeah, agree with shinyprthight, look further than the Stutterheim brand and you might find some very good alternatives.
I believe the "AJ Group" makes Opalo rainwear (referring to the "Opalo material" - the super shiny stuff), and you can purchase their products through either farmerrain or rainwear.store
