never have a problem with wearing rainwear in public, when the weather calls for it of course. Usually opt for the blue jeantex mac although sometimes a grey plastic mac, nothing outrageous. it would look more odd on a bright sunny day but would hardly wear rainwear then

I always wear one of my macs whenever the weather callls for such apparel.I'm always fully protected by either my red or black rubberlined satin macs or my black SBR coat. I've never have any problems with these and more often than not, I'm complemented on my choice of raincoat by both folks of both sexes. When it rains heavily I also wear my Hunters.

Under normal circumstances, I would fall into the "too shy to wear PVC outdoors", but I got myself a really heavy duty Hi Viz industrial PVC rainsuit made by Tingley from the USA, even though it isn't in the traditional UK style of jacket and elastic waisted trousers (it has a bib overall instead) no one bats an eyelid, I've even got a bit risque and worn my unlined PVC chest waders with the jacket and nothing under neath, what a thrill that was and no one was any the wiser!

I wear my thick shiny rubber trenchcoat when the weather dictates, but it is very heavy and hot to wear in warmer weather.
I have never worn shiny pvc in public yet, but if anyone was to want a meet similarly dressed then I would have the confidence to do it with a like minded person.

I love to wear my gear in public - mainly in the supermarket and sometimes around town. All my gear is industrial type stuff, and there's no better feeling than walking around the supermarket in thick green PVC chest waders!
Take a look at out Regnfrakker group for more public rainwear.
Heavy Duty Rainwear, Wellies and Waders for everything rainwear...

Yes, I am.

Yesterday, walking in the forest.
I have put on my Burberry/pvc-coat, specializy for the shiny pvc.
Many people have seen me walking with the shiny pvc coat in the sun.
I have also talked with a woman, who was going out with her dog.

The feeling for me was very pretty, that this woman was talking with me.
Even I was wearing a shiny woman raincoat.

I have two problems here. About 10 years ago I had a long semi transparent black hooded pvc raincoat. For a while I wore it in the house a few times before it went to a charity shop as lost my "nerve" to even wear it alone. Now I.m trying to get the courage to buy a pvc raincoat again, from a website, then wear it in public.I admire people, especially women, who wear pvc outdoors.

I'm very often dressed in a shiny black pvc one-piece motorcycle suit, or my navy blue one-piece fishing suit, in public, even if its hot and sunny. Most people pay no attention, most comments seem to come from older ladies.
