The never ending search for....

Bargain Rainwear

Someone was complaining about the high price of often substandard vintage rainwear on eBay (which I actually concur with to some degree) and the difficulty of finding anything really nice for your collection nowadays.

For mine, it's really just a matter of putting the time in - I've got a bookmarked list of perhaps half a dozen websites, some of which I check daily, the others on more of a weekly basis.

I've managed to obtain some stunning bargains over the years simply by looking in obscure online vintage stores and such like.

Some of my best 'steals' included a large lot of jelly jackets for next to nothing, a brand new dead-stock rubber raincoat with a matching belt for less than $150 including postage, and a bright red double-breasted PVC Yarmouth rain mac in perfect condition not long ago.

They are out there; it's just a matter of finding them.

I agree: plenty of bargains over the internet you just have to keep looking.
