What did you decide to wear in today's rain?

It's pouring down with rain and I need to go to the library, about a 10-minute walk away. But which of my macs do I wear? Decisions, decisions. Let's try and be logical. It's not cold enough for my black SBR with a hood, or my shiny red heavy vinyl one from Rimo Mode, might be okay in my red gumpla one from Casablanca (now RainProtect), my blue jelly type jacket (from C&A about 30 years ago) is too short in length for the downpour we have but my black Junge jacket with a hood might be enough. Or my red or black Plastico mac. Not my old red Pacamac jacket, that's too short. I've got some others, I reckon I've got around 20 different macs altogether. I know many of you don't/won't wear brightly coloured macs outside but my take on it is, the more you do it the less of a problem it becomes. I suppose I most often wear a red mac. My wife doesn't get it at all but doesn't object to it - she just thinks I'm an eccentric and couldn't care what other people think. Which is about right! She's used to whatever I wear and just goes along with it. Well, still can't make my mind up. Let you know later.

what is this thing called rain. Actually when i left off work a while ago it was a light rain. As I had my no fear rain jacket in my bag I thought I may as well wear it although whether I really needed it was another matter. Still best not to risk my clothes getting wet.

Why don't you wear the big Red shiny one from Rimo -But does it have a hood or do you need a rainhat ?
I have been thinking of buying one of their trenchcoats in Marine Blue for a while now but they are quite expensive, so are they really worth all the money and do they last ?

Anyway you had better get outdoors quickly before all the wonderful rain stops!

Jjai - the Rimo ones are very expensive but I am both very pleased with the coat and with their service. I wanted them to make some changes to one of their designs which they did without creating any problems. Yes, it has a hood, and also a buckle belt. For me, hoods and belts make the mac/coat perfect. This particular coat is heavy, warm and just the thing for winter walks along the beach, or anywhere for that matter, the collar turns up quite high and zips all the way up, then the hood is fastened with two overlapping press-stud fasteners and then drawn snug with a draw-cord. Not quite the coat for a rainy-day in summer though. My choice in the end for my trip to the library was my Plastico red mac.
No rain today............ but it's going to chuck it down tomorrow!!!!
If you are lucky enough to afford a Rimo coat, then go for it.

Been out walking the dog in the rain; wearng my Cotton Traders Nylon Pac A Mac, seeing it was quiet in the woods undid my trousers zip & let me c**k have some air & rub against my mac!!
