Never heard of the brand, but also never heard of Bormax. I suppose the brands you hear most about are either internationally available, or had a time of high popularity at some point in the past and people still have fond memories of those times. There are probably hundreds of different brands producing raincoats at this moment but you hear only about 5-10 brands max.

Before i retired i was a fisherman and had Elka oilskins but i have never seen Elka long raincoats.

I’ve heard of them, they make fishing and work rainwear. They are a Danish manufacturer. Bormax is also Danish. I’ve seen rainwear from them pop up on eBay a couple of times; usually shiny and for women.

Imho it is important if it's a modern one or a vintage one ... the modern ones are hard to get and nothing special at all, other brands have more to offer. With the older ones I'm not firm with so I cannot say anything.rainwearseeker wrote: ↑March 27th, 2021, 8:24 pm anyone familiar with elka raincoats? I have a shiny green one
But there are some other brands like Guy Cotten which had great coats in the 70s or 80s, I know of a red coat looking like a Rukka or Børmax of that time. Guess it is ultra-rare today.

As others have said they were a commercial fishing brand.
As far as I can tell almost all of there items are lightweight 150-300 gsm in pvc or pu on polyester. Most of the older items I've seen are blue or white but seem to have more colours in modern versions many of which are branded with an extreme fishing logo.
In the last 10 or so years with festival culture making rainwear more fashionable they have done multiple collaborations with designers to make stutterheim style jackets.
Nice jackets but doesn't seem to be a brand anyone pays much attention too in or out of the fetish. They often can be picked up pretty cheap.
I have never seen a shiny one, nor a long one if that's the case.
Have you got a picture of it? And of the label.

Hope she wears the mask for fun reasons and not because you ate too much garlic
