preventing a zipper jam

i got a PUL face cover jump suit but the zipper at the top jams making it difficult to remove. how can i prevent the zipper jam and i cannot figure out if the edges of the zipper are causing it.

When I was a kid we used to rub the teeth of a zip that was hard to move with a soap bar. But that does only help when applied before you are stuck in a garment.

Rub a lil chapstick, carmex etc. on the teeth of the zipper and work it back and forth a bunch.
