I am interested in the various comments and being of a certain age I suggested to my girl friend of the time that I would buy her a black PVC mac which was very trendy at the time and she agreed.
She found that, not only did it keep her dry, but it also resulted in her receiving an number of compliments and over 50 years later she is still wearing a black PVC mac and still receives compliments. When we are both out dressed in our black PVC rainwear we regularly are complimented on our practical rainwear. My wife accepts it is my fetish but she sees the practical side and is happy to wear PVC when the weather makes it a practical solution to keeping dry.

Spot on. There is a world of difference between suggesting something that is truly trendy and something you fancy, but wouldn’t be received well by any self respecting girl. I once suggested a spotty clear plastic raincoat on a rail in a department store to my wife to be. She said it would make her look like a prostitute and asked if that’s what I wanted her to be. I definitely didn’t want her to be a prostitute, but would have loved her to have looked like one for me, but all I said was “of course not”. Back then it would have scared her off, but now she would be more understanding. The key is that the if she gets something extra when you get what you want then she will be more accommodating, even if she doesn’t like what you like.delboy wrote: ↑September 21st, 2021, 3:56 pm I am interested in the various comments and being of a certain age I suggested to my girl friend of the time that I would buy her a black PVC mac which was very trendy at the time and she agreed.

Hooooorah. You get it! I think some guys on here just dont get it! And whats more, never will!!!!! They will just carry on dreaming, wishing and fantasizing.Raincoated wrote: ↑September 21st, 2021, 2:12 pm Wrong wrong wrong! You cant make someone wear what you want until they understand YOU. Buying them what you like is like them buying you a corduroy jacket! (Unless you of course like them!) Its a nurturing process that takes time and patience.

Are you sure! 'The key is that she gets something extra when you get what you want.......' What planet were you born on? How disrespectful. You dont deserve a decent women. Let alone one who probably would not be more accommodating. Pathetic.JellyMan wrote: ↑September 21st, 2021, 7:28 pmSpot on. *Quickly checks boobs*
I'm a female and I exist.
Being into rainwear doesn't make someone datable though. No more than if someone's into redheads or something!

This is true. But its something I look for in a partner. And its rarer than Rocking Horse shit to find in a single woman.
Its something that, if I was gay, I would have no problem in finding someone.
That's absoloutely not a guarantee of any kind of successful interaction. Its my experience of Rainwear Communities. And my inbox, when I post pics in my raingear, the majority of responses come from men seeking that kind of interaction.
I can't compare that to your experience, since I have no knowledge of your sexuality, situation or dating history.
(And Redheads ... oh thats an entirely different story, for an entirely different forum)
