I always assumed it was the masters administering the caning that got the thrill. Only ever had a hand caning, and definitely not a sexual experience. They banned caning on the rear end after a boy told his parents that the deputy had told him to take his trousers and pants down so that his clothes didn’t get damaged, and the parents must have complained. Obviously not about their son being abused, that seemed to be acceptable! For me pain has to be consensual, and although you might have liked it, I bet the teachers assumed it was proper punishment that was not enjoyed, so for me that is not right.

An interesting subject but not one I am familiar with, old enough to remember, yes, but never suffered it. I would have thought it much too embarressing let alone painful to have gained any enjoyment from it.

I am in my 80's now and up to age 11 I was caned several times uuually for moving while in line to enter the school.

It did hurt but nothing put me off repeating the same behavior as before.

I left / finished school in 1970 - caning was still practiced at the Comprehensive I attended.
Somehow i went through my whole school life without receiving any form of corporal punishment - well behaved or just lucky .
I know from others it was delivered across the hands and bottom

I am from the US. Caning and corporal punishment went on in some schools while I was growing up, but not in any of the schools I attended. It could also be that parents would have to grant consent to the teachers to allow that. Not in my household, my folks would never allow someone else to punish us. The caning in my house came on my ass from my Dad! He used a stick.

I remember that early on at school corporal punishment was administered whenever the teachers felt it was needed (or they were just Randy). As time went on it declined, and eventually parental consent was needed. In some ways the latter was much worse as the child had to wait days between the crime and punishment being administered as a formal letter had to go home and be returned. I don’t recall if any parent didn’t consent. We also had the slipper, which was a school plimsole on the bottom, which was never as bad as caning as there was no sting that you got with an old fashioned wooden cane. You have to wonder if there were (are) companies that specialise in the manufacture of canes, and whether masters would visit a shop to choose their weapon as a right of passage in their career. “The cane chooses the teacher Mr. Potter. Well what are you waiting for? Give it a try. I’ll just drop my trousers for you…”

This could lead us down a different rabbit hole. One of the companies that produced school canes in numbers was located in Mid-Sussex. Mass class slipperings were not unknown in my day and you got it even if you hadn't done anything wrong. Nice warm feeling down there after the initial pain had subsided. Probably explains why dominatrices still do good business today.

Caning gives quite an interesting sound when applied to a plastic, rubber or leather clad bottom. I once lent out a pair of shiny vinyl jeans to someone exacty for that purpose. I can do this again and add some pictures of the garment before and after. It is maybe also nice to record the sound of a few spanks.
