Looks a bit like the old Campari reversible jacket from 40 odd years ago. The problem with those was that they leaked at the seams and the fabric inner material shrunk which caused the pvc outer shell to crease up.

I owned a slightly different older version of the Modas Friesennerz slicker about 20 yrs ago. The pvc coating feels quite rough, but the main reason I turned to other coats are ne non-welded/taped seams which aren't waterproof. On heavy downpour the wet gets through the seams soaking parts of your sweater or shirt.

Had numerous of these years ago, both PVC and rubber. I still have one of the rubber ones, the rubber smell [which I love] has increased over the years. Can't remember any problems with any of them leaking. Only problem with PVC ones they became brittle

I had one back in the 70's when I was in my twenties but I can't remember who the manufacturer was although I think I might have bought it at Milletts.
It was a great raincoat until I wore it on my one and only pot holing trip in the 80's and ripped it really badly

I bought mine at C and A. White rubber with blue cloth. It also was reversible. Used it for dog walking. Had to sell it as walking the dog was not enough exercise to keep the weight off.

That is a terrible reason to get rid of a mac! A raincoat is for life, not just for dog walking. 😉

Nothing lasts forever. My waistline was one of those things. I have great memories of wearing the mack. But if you wear rubber macks every day. That takes its toll. Rubber collars suffer, seams begin to fail. Belts suffer if done up to tightly. In the end you look just shabby wearing it.
Sorry. I have just taken this thread a bit to seriously. My fault. It just reminded me about getting fat.

I would love to buy one but would also love a full pvc one. Is there anywhere uk that sells as I am struggling to find?
