Not being funny, but I personally am not particularly happy reading or discussing anything involving children, especially where fetish is concerned.

I can see what your getting at, we have a liking for an everyday piece of clothing, that others just take as waterproofs clothing for wet days. Being a parent where your kiddo needs this type of clothing it is different.
It doesn’t have that effect something in your brain, call it parenthood or morals just seems to stop you feeling the same way.

As a parent, I compartmentalise it that is just clothing he needs and although it is a type that would peak my interest was it adult sized, it doesn’t being that it is his. If that makes sense.

My OH has some ‘pacamacs’ they call them or cagoules as i call them, it has zero effect on them in any kind of fetish sense, same as most folks, but they do know what it does to me when they wear them. As a parent when we go out as a family all wearing waterproofs for a wet day walk, it is different. Some thing protective happens when you have kiddos that stops that kind of thing having an effect, it over rules everything else.
Lets get swishy!

Thank you very much for this constructive answer, this is exactly where I wanted to go, it reassures me a little, obviously I did not think that the fetish would have taken over the morale, but all this mixture seems complicated to me to manage

The subject is not about children, but about their clothes and how to manage this mixture, there is nothing perverse or inappropriate towards children, I just wonder how parents do to manage this is a topic rather little treated, and yet important

Fanta wrote: November 7th, 2022, 3:01 pm Most mainstream rainwear you buy at regular shops these days doesn’t really fit in with my fetish anyway, so if I was a parent I don’t think I’d have a problem.

And anyway it’s different when it’s your own flesh and blood, for me it is at least.
I also think like you, the relationship must not be the same with your child, but as I never had a real answer I thought it would be the best place to ask it

I am completely with you on this. My youngest son gas a raincoat but it is a practicality, nothing more. My wife sees her mac as a chore if anything.

Further to this, as the topic title talks about family life, do many members struggle to find time for their fetish (especially if not home alone that much at times) or is it just me.

I think your own answer to this sounds fair and reasonable

"if I were a mom, I think I’d buy some vinyl raincoats for my daughter that’s soo cute, not too much to abuse obviously, and instead of giving them away or throwing them away when they’re too small or damaged, I’ll just put them aside in a big garbage bag for later. (Don’t know you may never have that at puberty he/she will decide what to do with it)"

I would handled it like that if i was a parent

Well my wife and I have 5 kids and we try to wear our rainwear when they are in bed or at the grandparents. We do dress them in rainwear but only for the protection from wind and rain, the girls love their pink raincoats but the boys are a hard one to wear their coats but the moms always win.
