all rubber mackintosh

what was the brand that made mackintoshes out of unlined rubber? i once saw one for sale on ebay for over 1000 USD if i remember correctly.

MacMac used to make unlined rubber raincoats (shiny on the outside, matt on the inside) in a material they called rubberette.

Oh my god! Rubberette and MacMac that brings back some memories. Brimley Mills (?) Beaminster, Dorset if my memory is correct. Lovely stuff and well made, or at least what I had off them was good.

Peter and Julia certainly knew what made us (and them) tick. Their fashion shows at the old Mackintosh Society gatherings were out of this world for a (then) young man.

are there any other rubber raincoats like this now or is latex alternatives the best we can find?

I would imagine it is latex alternatives only these days, but, if anyone knows different then I for one would be most pleased to hear about it.
