Today's fishing trip was very costly my brand new blue bata boots ruined in under 1hrs use from walking across the mangroves flats walking across the mud lurking underneath in the mud unseen to the naked eye oysters on arrival at fishing spot boots leaking on closer inspection as to how when and why washed my boots off in the water's edge to find both boots toatally ruined from oysters scrapes scratches gouges cuts puncher marks you name it all up to past ankle height 🤦😥 .
And mind you these are brand new blue Bata boots only arrived Monday afternoon chomping at the bit to use them with not so good judgement was a big mistake they are totally ruind oysters absolutely just destroy boots no matter how good or strong they are or how thick the rubber is 🤦😥😥😥
Now the double whammy is coming home in the dark back across the mangrove forest my pants have been absolutely destroyed around the bottoms from oysters and mud they got snagged numerous times on barnacles on mangroves and just caused havoc on the walk back this morning at 1am the coat has holes and scrapes everywhere from getting caught up and snagged in and on mangroves it's been a total failure this so called fishing trip for only one bream .
It was my last set of reversible shiny royal blue yellow set now it's ruined the boots toatally ruined leak like sives first outting 1hr old ruined 🤦😥😥😥
On closer inspection at home damage way more comprehensive then first thought under light .
I'm that angry like really really angry I'm not usually like this but first thing iv done is light my fire pit loaded it up with wood it's burn now well after this message is typed by by boots coat and pants I'm that angry thats' it i don't want to see it all anymore and make me more angry.
Its all going in the fire stuff it I'm destroying it all and this is going to break my heart doing so as this is something
i would not usually do .
Time to let go time to let it burn iv put a rag in each boot rags in the pockets the coat and pants once back outside I'm going to pour some petrol in on all the rags and throw it into the fire and stand back and watch it burn then walk off go inside to bed ready for work at all 8am in the morning by by good riddance so that's my expensive trip for one day over $270 down the drain in 1hr as I don't like wearing pants in boots i always go over the top for comfort and i like it better as boots don't flap around the calf's as much well only opinion anyway ok all just thought I'd share my mishap have a rant and be done with it .
I'm going to chuck one little splash of petrol in a cup soon as it just gets to the point about to all catch alight I'm going to chuck the plastic cup in the barrel and woooff let it eat and walk off problem solved 🤦😥😥😥
Now it's time to go finish the job be done with it and go to bed . .
It'totally sucks and pisses me off badly one measly outting and ruined the lot or well thems the breaks if that's my only problems I'm doing well .
That's it I'm out that's my rant done and dusted 👍

Re: Ruined boots coat pants
video it and take pics, would love to see!
Personally if it was me, I would still enjoy wearing all that gear

Kinkydenn is right. These garments don't live forever. You should learn how to say goodbye or even better how you can enjoy their creative destruction.

No i disagree not something I would usually do I was just mad at the time not thinking straight cause I was angry my nice things were ruined and my brand new boots .
I'm not proud of what I did one bit and it wasn't fun one bit setting things you liked and love on fire 🤷 .
But what's done is done now . .
Would you really get enjoyment watching your rainwear burn ilikecoated🤷

Yes I would. But I wouldn't do it often due to environmental concerns.
What I like most is shredding and other forms of mechanical abuse. The remains go to the trash afterwards which then ends up in the incinerator.
