Patrick Grant

Post by Cherie »

Is definitely one of us and may well be a member. On this week’s sewing bee he said “there is definitely something alluring about see through pants” referring to a bikini made of translucent pink plastic from a shower curtain. Also the programme has far too many challenges involving plastic and PVC to be a coincidence, and I think that any outfit involving faux leather seems to get more attention and votes from him, as do any garments with big bows where Esme is concerned.

The shower curtain challenge was certainly interesting and good viewing for a none sewing bee person

Given that Patrick and Esme are in the fashion business I suspect they play a key role in the production of the challenges. Esme has mentioned plastic garments from her early collections but it is Patrick’s expressions that are the giveaway when he sees the outfits produced. This is the third time in the history of sewing bee that plastic has been a specific material plus the times when contestants bring in their own now and again.
