A depiction of France in a better, healthier era. Makes me sorrowful. Wow, French women had a natural beauty about them in those days.

That sure is a nice jelly jacket! They and other PVC rainwear were a common sight in those days. Shame that I was too young to fully experience the 60s, 70s and 80s from the perspective of a grown-up (I was only 2 years old in 1982, when this film was made).

She is wearing it in all sorts of places where most other people are wearing formal or drab clothing and the orange stands out. Right at the end her man cuddles her as they go for the train and I thought I’d loved to have had a girlfriend who wore a rain jacket like that.
