The others were dressed in their "Sunday best", short-trousered grey suits, long grey socks and black polished lace-up shoes, and as it was raining hard, all arrived in their smart regulation school navy blue Gabardine raincoats. All except me that is. Unlike the others I possessed no "Sunday best" clothes only my well-worn school blazer and shabby school short trousers (worn commando as my mum didn't see the need for underpants). I must also wear my plastic pacamac to arrive at my friend's house as my mother said my regulation navy blue gabardine raincoat was strictly for wearing to and from school. When i protested I would be the only boy arriving in a plastic pacamac I was given a trousers-down bare bottom spanking over her lap for insolence then forcibly buttoned into my pacamac by her. Normally I loved wearing my plastic pacamac but on this occasion I felt cheap and shabby.
This resonates with my own history of being made to wear a nylon pakamac as a child and teenager ..... the resistance, the smacked bottoms, the buttoning up..... all VERY familiar

I am in my 70s now and had my plastic mac fetish since i was 14, but even now still feel people are looking. A few years ago i had told a lady friend that i liked her mac which was from pvc u like and told her i had always had a thing for them, she knew i had a mac and went and got it and made me put it on and fastened it up. It was not raining but she demanded i went for a walk with her, i was shaking like a leaf when we got home, but as my reward she told me to relief myself.

I remember being made to wear my M & S quilted anorak and with the hood up tied tight over my school cap when I cycled to school if it was raining. When I grew out of that, I was bought a complete suit of over the head cagoule and trousers - and was made to wear it, hood up. Of course I complained, but not too much as I secretly loved it!

Very nice jenny. My ex wife made me wear a bright green nylon raincoat at all times we went out no matter the weather.this was my late mums coat and had to be fully done up. Like you Jenny I was shaking like a leaf all the time. At least you got relief I never did just put back to housework.

Not really, but an experience I always dreaded when I was a teenage boy at a time when the rule enforced by most mothers was "do as you are told, dress as you are told" was being forced to wear a borrowed mack that buttoned the wrong way, i.e the girl's or lady's way. I wonder what others think, or thought about this?

I had a blue one made by citizen which had a elastic hood which I didn’t like but it was for school trips and sometimes my paper round so didn’t come out the cupboard very often. My concern was always that people would somehow know of my burgeoning sexual feelings towards rainwear and cagoules. This being many (many!!) years before the internet, I didn’t know this was a thing that other people had.
Sorry, gone off topic….. in answer to your question, no.
I had a very similar experience to you. I wasn't made to wear my anorak or cagoule but was told to take it with me if it looked like rain. I also recall some kind of weird love/hate feeling to wearing them, maybe because of my special feelings. I also had a very real concern that people would somehow 'know' of my interest in my cagoules if I wore mine all the time. Completely illogical of course and overcome as I grew up..

Yes the love / hate thing really rings true. Similar to you, as I’ve got older I have become less self conscious about wearing a cagoule. That said, I wear my regatta packaway which is a plain navy colour and has no branding on the outside. When I was on holiday recently with my wife, I wore her plum coloured Peter storm to the shop during a downpour (the excuse I used was that it was close to hand!). The Peter storm motif and ‘storm shield’ on the sleeve was a real turn on for me as I wandered around the local supermarket.
This was in holiday though, I wouldn’t wear my wife’s cagoule round where I live and I certainly wouldn’t wear some of my other cagoules - I wouldn’t wear my vintage Peter storm nor my red regatta packaway. Even now I am a little concerned that people would work out my fetish - maybe daft but I can’t help it I guess.
I would love to get hold of a yellow raincoat with sou wester but would never wear one out.
