Re: Russian spam?
Whatever do these types get out of bombarding sites with spam? I cannot see what they gain from it.

This & the second lot has been reported to admin.
Re: Russian spam?
I have just noticed it, and I am absolutely furious.
This absolute cunt dumped everything and ran, so I can't even ban him & delete everything in one go.
It'll have to be done manually. I am so angry.

Re: Russian spam?
They are such a bunch of F£$%wits. It's the same on Facebook groups all these spammers posting links to solar panels, job adverts etc. It costs them nothing and even if they get 0.1% of the audience click on the link it's a win for them.
Thanks for clearing it out promptly. Better than a lot of admins on other groups and sites.

Re: Russian spam?
I made a change to limit new account to the newly registered users sub forum - however this was after some spammers already registered accounts.
Let's see if any new ones get through (accounts created after 2 December). If so then I will have to go back to the manual approvals that I have been doing for years - however I am hoping this change works because it has become a lot of work the last few months.

Thanks to Rainwearboy & Mason for clearing it out. I hope the changes will reduce the spammers.
