I absolutely adore Rukkas; especially the older heavy shiny yellow and red versions with belts
They are the best by a long way!!

Re: pvc rukka macs
Hi, interestingly enough this issue of retro Rukkas appear frequently. We have tried during the years to pursue Rukka to take some of those classic models back into production, but with very little success. After L-fashion purchased them, the emphasis has been in the more value added technical garments. The pvc/pu based raingear are currently purchased from Estonia. Their flagship material has been the very plieable but dull Elastoplast, which is a product of Norsk Titanduk. Now this compnay is in bankruptcy, so we have been wondering who is now delivering their material.
Rukka still has a factory outlet in Kokkola, where they originally started their production. People have tried to get e.g. ebony coloured bib pants, which they still today claim to be one of their colours, but there aren't any available.
You can check the current products on their website
http://www.rukka.com
there is also an email for their international PR-person, so I'd be very pleased if a massive email campaign from different parts of the world suddenly appears to her mailbox
and remember to ask for an explanation why they aren't utilizing the ever growing interest to retro models.

Re: pvc rukka macs
Rukka PVC macs are the best, but very sadly the few available to get on e-bay are very expensive. I think the shiny Navy Blue was my favourite , but really any colour looked good.
Re: pvc rukka macs
I've seen a few Rukkas for sale on e-bay lately, but none of them fetched good prices - it seems the only really desirable Rukkas are the soft, supple shiny PVC models that they made in the seventies, particularly anything with attached belts like the heavenly yellow number that the SeaChel modelled for us in Shiny Beach
It was really the most beautiful raincoat that I've ever seen....... No wonder they are so popular!!
