Four days of rain at inopportune times!

Post by Bill_P »

Sunday, steady rain most of the afternoon, but we were entertaining my wife's sister & brother in law, and babysitting our 10 month old niece, plus an intense Packers-Bears game to watch (wife=Packers fan, me=Bears fan; gotta watch that live, football takes precedence over rainwear fun). And of course, once the family went home & the game ended, so did the rain. We went out for ice cream in slickers & wellies, but it's just not as much fun when the weather is clear.

Monday, moderate rain for the morning commute to work (wore my new rubberized cotton mac for the first time in rain, passed the test with flying colors, btw). Clear come lunchtime, and by the time I left work, sunny!
Went to the dog park with my wellies on, but no raincoat as there was no real reason to wear one. Thunder & lightning in the middle of the night while my wife was fast asleep & I was tossing & turning, and cursing my rotten luck.

Tuesday, started off like the movie Groundhog Day, rainy commute, me in my mac, stopped raining mid-morning but this time when I went out to lunch there was a steady downpour. Drove to the mall, changed into my new green "fireman" style slicker, matching PVC sou'wester & yellow Hunters. Parked at the far end of the lot, enjoyed a nice walk. No funny looks from strangers. Went into Macy's, browsed around the shoe department, saw a woman trying on a pair of shiny wellies, but no other rainwear sightings. By the time my lunch hour was coming to an end though, rain had stopped again. Left work, started clouding up. Picked the dog up from Doggy Day Care so no trip to the park today. Of course when we get home, skies open up again. Wife is at the gym so I have to fix dinner. Rain has stopped by the time she gets home. After dinner we hear the sound of a torrential downpour, and though I'm chomping at the bit, she shoots me down, stating she's too tired
& sore to go play in the rain, despite the massive throbbing hard-on I'm sporting. She remains hopeful that we can at least try a little lovemaking later, but once the finality of her "no" to rainwear play has set in, my erection has dissipated. Middle of the night once again I awake to the sound of thunder, lightning & pounding rain, and once again, wife is dead to the world.

Today, cloudy morning, light drizzle when I get to work. Of course because I have a doctor's appointment on my lunch hour, that's when the heavens open again. No time for play at lunch, and by the time I get back to the office the rain has once again subsided. Looking at tonight's forecast it looks like light sprinkles ending around 5 pm, and probably nothing the rest of the night.

The updated forecast shows chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. Really hoping to finally get a payoff then, and have some fun, romantic, erotic play with the Mrs.

Hello Bill, there is nothing worse than seeing the rain pouring down and knowing you can't manage to get out in it-in nice rainwear of course !
You must have been quite dissapointed, I hate it when there is a good old storm going on and I am stuck in work, then by the time I leave it is all over.

How did the Bears do in that game ? I hope they won. When I was in Chicago I bought loads of Bears memorabilia including a Bears 54 - Brian Urlacher football shirt which I have worn to death and a presentation Bears helmet which cost $200, but was well worth it!

I hope you have more luck in your slicker soon.

Unfortunately the Bears lost...which made the wife happy, but made my Sunday doubly bad as I was watching my beloved Bears get dominated while on & off torrential downpours raged right outside our window...suffice it to say there was absolutely no chance of getting an erection that day.

We might have some showers later tonight, maybe I can convince the Mrs. to suit up with me...if not, looks like we have t-storms in the forecast for tomorrow around lunchtime...and of course, I can't go out "peacocking" in my rain gear as I have to go home to wait for the mechanic to bring back my riding mower. *Sigh* maybe the showers will linger into the evening.

well at least you have had some rain. In the east of England it hasnt rained again for some weeks, in fact it has been another incredibly dry summer here, and no sign of rain on the horizon, just a heatwave at the moment which at least saves on heating costs

Hi,Merv,
Here in the netherlands it is already dry some weeks.

My rainlevelmeter is drying out!
Possibly there will come rain next week, Tuesday and the rest of the week (Perhaps ;) )
We are having a short holiday in South Limburg in an hotel, that is near the Belgian and German borders.
My wife wants to walk (Me too ), but does not like rain ,(I do ,) so it will be interesting how the weather will be.
Perhaps only rain at night.... :(

Hi ,
Now we are back home from the short holiday.
We went on holidays last Wednesday. That day it was dry weather .
The next day we left the hotel for a long walk( 15 km ) Because rain was expected ,we had our capes with us.My wife a PVC Cape from FunPlastic ,and I had my dark blue PUL Cape K44 with me.
Sometimes it rained a little ,but under the trees qwe could walk without the rainwear.
After a short rest we went on, but at that moment a strong wind and heavy rain began.
It was a coldfront ,and that can be specteculair.
We were at that moment on a sunken road , with bushes at the edge, but the rain was blown through them! It lasted about 15 minutes ,then it was nearly over.
We had only wet legs, the rest was dry ,thanks to the long capes.
The other days it was raining some time ,and we had no problems.
Even my wife was satisfied about these days., and that says a lot.
Greetings ,Peter
