Dirty Used Rainwear

Post by TStorm56 »

I've got two heavy duty rainsuits from Helly Hansen and Grundens and one "regular joe" rainsuit from American brand 'Weather-rite' that are absolutely filthy (from dirt) and well worn. There are stains from all sorts of dirt and grime on them (both inside and out) and they squeak and creak when I move around in them. I've worn the three in numerous torrential downpours and the experience was exhilarating. Anyone else like getting well used rain gear?

I for one love old rainwear, there's something about the smell of an old rainsuit that's been in a shed, a locker in an industrial enviroment or the paanier of a motorbike for years, I just love the aroma of that type of gear, sadly it's getting harder to find these days with the current generation beig raised in a disposable society, not many will think to try and sell old rainsuits, wellingtons or waders, they just assume that because they're old and used nobody would want them and throw them away.
