I've looked at the Primark rainmakcs on flickr courtesy of Peterstorm.
I like the navy and blue. Is your mack like either of those? What size and how much for it?

The raincoat that i haave is the navy blue one. It iis a size 18, i also have a new bon prix rainmac in red and a size 24 which is very much the same style and feel as the primark macs. I am open to offers on either of those, if you want to email me my address is in my previous post

Are they noisy? Swishy?
What size mack did you wear?

TBH Wellyboy - I wasn't really that aware of them at first but have secured an example of each style and colour over the years. The first ones (as in the foto) are a sort of PVC/ Oilcloth type of material. Nice and crinkly and good to wear. The latter ones are made from a stiffer more crinkly type of PVC and are VERY noisy! As the styles changed over the 4 years (or so) they have been produced, so has the type of seam they have used for joining the materials. The earlier ones are just shower-proof, even exposure to a relatively short yet heavy bout of rain will get the water seeping through the seams.

As for the approving looks - as has been said before. The only ones with a hang-up are us; I'm pretty brazen about it. Popping to the shower block when camping (in the rain), helping to unload the shopping from the car (in the rain), walking a friends dog (in the rain) - so long as the weather conditions are appropriate. Did have a bloke once say "why you wearing a women’s coat" (I was walking a dog); to which I replied "I t was all there was in the car and I'd rather look silly and be warm and dry than be a fool and be wet and cold". he harrumphed and walked off - in his soaking wet T-shirt!
