I had to google "South Bucks rainwear":
I am a bit confused what the target audience for these products was. I see a lot of "fetish" related products like an open faced mask and briefs, but the rubber pants are also available in baby and child sizes. And i would suppose papers would not allow "lude" advertisements back in those days... so these are regular items for common folks?

I think they were for ordinary people with children who at that time wore rubber pants.
I never had any dealings with this company only saw their website as they were going out of business.
£10.50 for a rubber lined poncho!

I started reading on Tied and True Tales a long time ago. By far my biggest inspiration source in my younger days.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it so much and that some people still remember Tied & True Tales. I loved writing for, and producing it so much, but I lost heart and interest in it after my cheating slag of a now very ex-"wife" left me for someone else simply because she wanted his much higher income. It was the biggest hurt of my whole life.
Nowadays I'm mainly online through Facebook and here.

Anyway, I never realised that there were others who enjoyed vwearing plastic rainwear as much as me, until I found magazines such as DFP, Shiny and Rubberist in our (then) numerous adult bookshops before most of them went under with the advent of the Internet.
The seedy milieu of such places really affected my confidence wearing rainwear (other than industrial stuff) in public for years though.

BobbyValore. The pic of the South Bucks advert brings back many memories. I've written elsewhere that they also offered samples of all their materials which I sent fro on occasions. I loved to feel and smell all the different materials but sadly could never afford the things for sale.

Fetish Memoirs for me! I loved seeing the ladies wear there Rukka raincoats. It was the first time I had seen a Rukka and I fell in love there wishing I had one....

Well, the first "website" I used for rainwear was internet image searches for raincoats, rainsuits etc. Next was YouTube, which was also how I found this website from watching rainweargirl videos! Through rainwearcentral I have found further websites, such as Yahoo groups, regnfrakker.dk, and others (123rubberboots, fetish-rainwear, fetish-memoirs etc).

When looking at the prices now they seem like an absolute steal, but I can imagine that back then it was quite a lot of money.
Interesting to hear they worked by mailorder and send out samples, I have never come across that. I do remember the mailman coming by on Thursdays with a pile of leaflets/flyers from local businesses and I always went through all of them in the hope for some new rainwear items being shown.
