I agree and you can’t beat a long walk in the countryside on a rainy day wearing a double textured riding mackintosh which gets heavier as the rain soaks in.Several years ago I visited the David Marsh factory just outside Manchester where they made rubber mackintosh’s and they probably made the best riding macs and i got them to make me a made to measure riding Mac which I still wear and it’s in great condition. It’s a good length with all the the thigh and collar straps and that lovely yellow lining and of course that wonderful rubber aroma!
