I remember now what I heard about it, back in January it was due to be docked and have it's underside re-plated and painted. Should image that was well overdue considering that it was originally a Spillers grain tanker plying it's trade between Hull and Gainsborough.

Yes - Neither the Trent or the Humber are the cleanest of rivers
Humber silting up badly at Reids Island west of South Ferriby

Neither the Trent or the Humber are the cleanest of rivers

I know, I have been up and down to Keadby a number of times myself and it's not uncommon to see unwary boaters run aground on a falling tide.

Never sailed either but sat on river bank at Susworth or East Butterwick pubs you can see how quick the Trent flows.
