On the odd occasion that I have been caught out in the wrong attire I always point out that the weather demanded it when I first out earlier. People at least seem to accept this and just in case anyone asks why I don't take my rain gear off (which they never have) I plan to say that I wold not want to inflict my sweatiness on anyone else, hoping that they would envisage a less than fresh tee shirt! I once have a plan to cut the collar off a tee shirt and wear it under the cagoule to make it look like clothes underneath, because you have to be zipped up right up which can look strange, even though it feels nice!MrDoudy wrote: ↑May 9th, 2021, 3:33 pm I did this shortly after I'd bought a Peter Storm cagoule and raintrousers outfit some 20 years ago. It was on a day when the rain was tipping down; a warm and humid midsummer day so going out in my rainsuit with nothing on underneath wasn't a problem. It was a mile walk to the supermarket and it took about half an hour to do my weekly shop during which time my dripping rainsuit attracted not a second glance, so obviously appropriate was it for the weather outside. However on emerging I found the weather had transformed and the sun now blazed out from a cloudless blue sky. Heavily laden I had no option but to catch a packed bus home. Standing wedged between the bodies of passengers either side when you have nothing on under thin nylon rainsuit trousers is no joke, especially while being stared by the seated passengers, all no doubt thinking "why on earth doesn't he take that rainsuit off!" Some of the more observant no doubt realised why!

Thanks. I'm a bit sensitive to the cold so that's why I wonder about this.
Re: Walking in cagoule and waterproof trousers in the rain nothing else
I have done this many times. There is nothing to worry about if you are sensible. All anybody sees is me dressed in a cagoule, waterproof trousers, and wellies. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing this gear outdoors. Nobody knows if underneath I am wearing jeans and a fleece, shorts and a T-shirt, or as it turns out, another cagoule and another pair of raintrousers. The worry is entirely in our own minds. I used to be nervous about it, but I am very relaxed these days. The only way that an observer could get an inkling is if both hoods are visible. Even if this was seen, what on earth is wrong with wearing two cagoules? It is no different, for instance, to wearing two fleeces! I repeat, the worry is all in our minds.
Many years ago, there was a slightly amusing thing that happened. I dressed in two layers of waterproofs and wellies and drove to a car park where there was a good circular walk. The weather was grey and threatening rain. I set off on my walk but half way, the clouds cleared and the sun came out. What had been forecast to be a dreary day turned into a beautiful sunny one. I had no option but to complete the walk, arriving back at my car rather hot and sweaty. Although there were other people around, I don't think anyone gave the slightest hint of surprise at how I was dressed.

Have done it many times, peter storm or regatta storm break, over trousers with nothing but plastic pants on underneath. Heaven!
Lets get swishy!

Just returned from a walk along the coastline in light Rain. I wore just two layers of navy blue Peter Storm trousers and cagoules. On top a shiny yellow nylon Cagoule. To make the walk more arousing, I put on my e-stim. It was an intense walk. I finished it inside my van, which I parked next to the beach, with some breathplay and intense e-stim.

Done it many times.
And like people before me have said it's a great feeling, both feeling the texture even more than normal and the excitement it gives.

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time around but, given the chance, I would love to take a walk in a cagoule and overtrousers with either nothing underneath or multi-layered.
