Yes, I too prefer the thicker glass clear material, provided that it has a generous plasticiser content to ensure softness and pliability. I think you would like the inflatables offered by Bubble Inflatables, based in Montana, US: http://www.bubbleinflatables.com/ The PVC is thick (400 micron), yet very soft (however their inflatables were much softer before they discontinued using phthalates; I wonder what they use as a phthalate substitute?). Importation fees are involved, but I think it's well worth it considering that glass clear inflatables are seldom offered in the UK.
