Right, a pic would be great! When you say hard plastic do you mean stiff and crackly? That's a plus from my end! Wonder about getting one of those over to the states.

Hello all. I was looking at e-bay on Sunday and normally I look on the German e-bay site also as it always has a wide selection of raingear and I saw polyurethane / PVC female raincoats for sale for under 20 euros.
I think they were originally on sale in Primark last year and they come in Black, Red , Purple and green with a detachable hood. I have ordered one in Black.
They do look as if it is quite thin PVC material but they are all new and at a reasonable price, I think the postage will cost me another few euros but not much to the UK.

If anyone wants to see what they are like, go onto the German e-bay site and type in a search for 'Lackmantel' and they should come up.

Hi, the coats are being sold at Bonprix, you can also find them on the website http://www.bonprix.de.

There were similar coats at Mango stores a few years ago.

Kind regards

Further to my earlier post, it would appear sales have not been good, perhaps moving the rack to the back of the store didn't help. I see today there is still a good stock of all the colours now marked down to £5, hopefully some will sell at that price. Ah well, try again next year Primark!

Phil.

in that case you have to think the greedy b******s who are trying to charge 20 British pounds plus postage will come unstuck, and serves them right

We bought a his-n-hers matching pair - see http://www.flickr.com/photos/24947004@N04/4891168051/

They were quite small and tight, but maybe that's half the fun!
