Latest additions to our rainwear collection:

3 clear bubble umbrellas. The one with red trim- a Fulton bought from House of Fraser- is made from thick, soft, rubbery, pliable and highly plasticised glass clear PVC, which emits the delicious 'new vinyl' aroma that is becoming less and less common these days. The other 2 umbrellas, which were cheaply bought from Ebay, are made from some inferior material, probably unplasticised PVC or EVA, which easily develops scratch marks. The materials have a harsh paper-like texture.

2 soft and rubbery glass clear PVC raincoats from PUL- one in red; the other in blue. I have to give credit to the manufacturers who manage to fold them into very neat little parcels; neither myself nor my gf have been able to replicate this when we fold up a raincoat after use.

I want to get the thick orange nukesuit. Are there any closeups of the sealed gloves and pics of the enclosed feet without boots on. I would like to see pics of the zip from one end to the other and especially of any tubes that can be added. Just like a member said earlier I want to beable to suck in all the air and blow it out of a tube so that the suit gets sucked to my body. I also want one of those blue and yellow reversible rainsuits. And I'm not sure if these can be made but a glass clear green pvc dome umbrella would be nice. Does anyone know if a dome umbrella can be made that goes all the way down to the ankles. I guess it would be called a bodybrella. It would be so hot.

Raincoat Boy:

Just out of curiosity: do you wear any of your rainwear in public when it's raining? Obviously, I am not referring to any overtly feminine (e.g. shiny pink), but, say, a shiny or glass clear PVC mac of a style and colour that can be defined as unisex at the very least? As a PVC rainwear enthusiast, I find that wearing PVC macs and those clear bubble umbrellas (again, nothing overtly feminine, such as shades of pink!) in public, when the weather is appropriate (raining 'cats and dogs'), relaxes me. I find the protection from the rain to be, for want of a better word, reassuring; whereas some (probably Bear Grylls wannabes!) think it is 'macho' to go out in the pouring rain in nothing more than a jumper, only to get soaked to the bone. My girlfriend wears her feminine rainwear outdoors- she looks so hot in her shiny pink PVC mac and matching glossy PVC 'Cotswold' rainboots!

I would like one of those bubble umbrellas in glass clear blue. I've seen pictures of them on Google Image Search, but cannot find any retail outlets for them.

I like your 'bodybrella' idea, but a total PVC enclosure experience can already be enjoyed with the body bags and enclosure sacks sold by PUL. I have one in glass clear red.The glossy material is so 'clingy' and 'noisy' that simply trying to wrestle your way into it is half the fun! I plan on getting one of those double inflatable suits- they look like fun!

I never could get into the enclosure route, but I do have a couple new frosty clear thick bodysuits/nuclear protection suits with hoods that could be of interest. Send me a pm if you want to look into it possibly make a purchase.

What is the material like, Kulshan? I don't mind thicker gauge glass clear PVC, provided that it is soft to the touch. Personally I'm not much of a fan of frosted/semi-trans PVC, as it lacks the clinginess/stickiness and noise characteristics that glass clear has (I believe that plasticised PVC manufacturers refer to the clingfilm-like stickiness possessed by glass clear and shiny PVC as 'blocking'). But, if you have anything made from a thicker/heavier gauge, yet soft, glass clear PVC, I may well be interested.

Whenever we get rain I like to go out just to wear my raincoat. I like wearing womens raincoats for that extra wow factor. I will wear one that is womens but doesn't look like it. Iv'e seen a couple of pics of bodybrellas. They are basically a pvc umbrella with a round curtain of pvc that stretches down to the ground. You know the rules, when you speak of a girl wearing pvc rainwear you must post pics, please:)

I absolutely love this shiny black PVC rainmac! The smoothness and softness of the vinyl, the PVC aroma, the noise it makes, the manner in which light reflects off the shiny surface........

It is a joy to wear this unisex plastic rainmac (and other unisex macs in glass clear colours) out in the rain, complete with a PVC bubble umbrella. I don't care what others may think- it is not as though it is an overtly feminine design or colour (say, for example, bright pink). Men's rainmacs on offer tend to be in dismal and depressing colours (e.g. shades of grey) and have a matt (non-shiny) finish, which do not appeal to my tastes whatsoever. My shiny black PVC plastic rainmac is described as unisex (i.e. appropriate for both men and women), so I take it that it is 'OK' for men to wear outdoors when the weather is appropriate, as is often the case here in the UK.

I agree 100%. Some of my glass clear raincoats my seem a little girlish but I don't wear them for other people to see. I wear them for my own personal pleasure. I slept in 2 of my shiny totes raincoats last night and my god what a feeling;)

That's understandable. Just tell her it's for the greater of mankind:)
