Re: Olympics
Unfortunately, not much Germans waer PVC Raincoats
In Baden Württemberg, where i live, PVC was a long time very rare in everyday clothing. The Last 10 years, this changed a little bit: The Clear Umbrellas entered the cities, still, only one of 200 persons on the street uses a clear umbrella, but 7 years ahgo, there were practically no clear umbrellas in germany. The Shoips here sell them for 10€ to 20€, while the "normal" polyester umbrellas are relatively cheap. When a reporter or host makes a report in television outside and it rains, he/she often has a clear umrbrella but the ordinary people often have the conventional polyester umbrellas. Also PVC Sports Bags came up. Relative polular were the "The city of ..." bags from Robin Ruth. They ewere on nearly every store 3 years ago. But now, they are no longer in sale, but some people still have such one. Some woman had cardigans/jackets made of leather with vinyl look 15 years ago, today they are still sometimes seen, but really rare. So, PVC is unfortunately not often used for everyday clothing in germany, but today it seems to be used a little bit more then in the past. Also the wet look leggings were seen several times 2-3 years ago here in germany, but now mostly diappeared.

PVC is sexy.
