I am so definitely going to buy one if it passes muster: i.e very smooth, shiny and of course, rubbery!! (I might even ask him to include a locking buckle on the collar or anywhere appropriate really so it's not coming off after I've suited up)

Rainy Dee, the £ 8 sound very little, don't you have to pay your VAT also? I have bought small items from China, like a few plastic pants and LED lamps, they are delivered to my home but anything worth more than appr 50 euros makes a problem. The customs clearing plus possible duties plus VAT increases the cost with appr 30-35 % as the VAT is calculated on the item price plus shipping. And the customs office is 100 miles from where I live, I should go there and pay the charges, and pick up the parcel, if I let them do the clearing and send it to my home they charge me another 40 euros. When I've ordered a box of plastic pants from e.g. Canada, the duty is 6 %, I'm not sure what it is from China for rubber items. This has let me to concentrate my shopping to EU countries.
Some Chinese suppliers are well aware of the European habits and therefore they tend to help the customer by writing a lower value to the shipping document, right or wrong, well, for the Chinese there is not just white and black, there are thousends of grey shades in between...

That's pretty crook We don't have to put up with any of this rubbish Down-Under - here we receive a flat $1,000 duty free & GST-free threshold. as long as your purchases are obviously under this, they leave you alone. They only rarely open parcels for inspection unless they think you're mailing (or usually) receiving illegal contraband. Anything organic is an absolute no-no, for example.

YABBA DABBA DOO!!! My rubber wader suit is here!! and what a great suit it is, (@Juppe) After having to pay the minimal £8.73 Import duty which wasn't really an issue, I had to wait an extra day to get the suit which annoyed me more! eager to check that my suit was out for delivery, I logged in to the DHL website, entered my tracking number and to my horror the parcel was no longer being held in Edinburgh 'Awaiting Payment', it was now showing as 'Arrived at facility - CINCINATI, USA'!!! As you could imagine I wasn't amused and got right on the phone to see what the hell was going on, it turnd out it was a barcode scan error and my suit was indeed on the van for delivery, and at 3:30pm it duely arrived.

Here it is as it came out of the box:


You get into the suit through a gusseted opening at the neck...


Once in, the suit is fastened over the gusset with these buckles, one at the belly hieght, one at the neck...


Once you're in the suit, your hands will be in these gloves, and they are hopelees for fastening the buckles or much else, they are a very solid kind of rubber which isn't very flexible, definately restrictive, and as the thumb is inline with the fingers and not winged like normal gloves, they could get uncumfortable after a while, personally I'm thinking of cutting the gloves off my suit and wearing other gloves with it...


Unlike the rest of the suit, the boots are not unlined, but they are made from a suitably soft rubber to compliment the suit nicely, mine are size EUR 45, which should = UK / AU 10.5, but these fit my UK 10 (EUR 44) feet snugly but not uncumfortably, so if you're buying one of these suits, I recommend a shoe size 1 up from your usual...

And now the bit all rubber fetishists are interested in, the smooth unlined rubber interior!! (note: the inside is unpolished, but would shine up just as nicely as the outside as its the same lovely smooth rubber as the outside!!)

And finally, UK£132 and a can of silicone spray later, I have 6.36KG of unadulterated rubbery loveliness! I'm sure there are many hot and steamy sessions to cum... er... come in this beauty!

Your rubber suit sounds just great!! Thank you very much for sharing everything with us. The only major problem is the gloves; the guys who make this will need to sort out this design problem before I'm willing to buy anything. I also would have preferred a zip fasterner - however, do those buckles pull it in nice and snugly around you?

Do you know how to get in touch with them?

I still can't help wondering why they made something like this in the first place... for people like us?!?

Maybe they are made for the pond cleaning set...

Thanks RainyDee for the most comprehensive visual description. I'd love to get one of those, but the price is still something that makes me ponder, and ofcourse I don't know how I could motivate this purchase to my wife who is already pretty frustrated on my present wardrobe...
The triangle formed fabric to cover the front opening almost up to ones throat is an excellent detail. The suit can really be used for wading ! Ocean has a similar design on their suits, but they have a zipper not those buckles.
We are going to have the annual spring meeting for Finnish rainwearfriends in a couple of weeks time, and there a few of the participants will be wearing the orange coloured Ocean suit. I will have to do with my black rubber wader trousers from Poland.
