Always liked the "frosty clear" type of pvc or plastic. Pants, suits, jackets all good. The swish, crinkling and crackle adds a special dimension. Must connect with my childhood when we all donned rainwear of those qualities.
Me, too. My preferred fastening has always been silver press studs, or poppers as we used to call them.

When I was at boarding school I developed a love for my school regulation gaberdine mackintosh, and this has stayed with me all my life, but I have worn rubber mackintoshes and rubber anoraks. They are more practical these days. I especially like the heavy duty nylon anoraks that I've got as they have a thick rubber lining as well. They have a very good hood and the front zips right up to my nose.
I love wearing one (or more!) under my gaberdine mackintosh or under my anoraks. They are really thick and heavy and soon bring out a lovely warmth inside.
All my mackintoshes and anoraks must have hoods and they are worn up more than down!

I love the old pakamac plastic type as they rustle and smell so good, just thinking of slipping one on excites. I also like the nylon ones and often wear my plastic/pvc pinny underneath when out for a walk so i have to keep them fastened so no one sees me.
