Hi westlondongal

Just thought i'd say hi and welcome too :)

The only thing we judge here is how good a raincoat looks and can we afford another in our collections haha.

Welcome Friend,
Like you one of the minorities on this site. I love shiny rubberised satin mackintoshes. Not only satin (they are my favourites) but all rubberised mackintosh fabrics. I prefer the vintage macks that I have as the rubber lining is so soft and supple versus the skimpier modern macks.

Take care.

I am a long term buyer of mackintoshes from various people in the UK and there are very few left.

From the top of my head, there is Weathervain and Hamilton Classics and that's about it.

Plus, of course, different Charity shops and eBay.

So buy away as the choices are few.

Hi WestLondongal, welcome to rainwear central.
Im sure you will make lots of friends on here.
At least being in West London you have Weathervain not too far away to peruse some rubberised satin macs. Im into full rubber macs myself and am an East London Lad. Would love to chat further with you. x

I'm new here too and although my main love are traditional 20th century foldaway macs, like nylon macs and plastic macs, I also love rubber and rubberised macks. Price is the problem but on a rare visit to Weathervain, I felt compelled to splash out.
