Mine would be what I call the Peter Storm traditional era! Although I had nylon quilted anoraks before, it was the Peter Storm smock (and zipped) cagoules that did it for me - still does!

I guess for me, my era would be any decade from the 1950 up to 1990 when it's about plastic macs or from the late 60s onwards for nylon macs.

I'm another that probably first noticed plastic rainwear on girls in the 1960s and got more interested when they got PVC see through jackets in the late 1970s as well as nylon cagoules. I remember the better PVC backed cagoules of the 1980s, the revival of long PVC black macs in the 1990s and the brightly coloured cagoules such as Outdoor Scene in the 1990s. Nowadays the Primark PVC jackets and oddly enough the really cheap nylon Rainydays cagoules are favourites of mine being a great throwback to the 1970s.

My era was the 50s and early 60s when rubber backed cotton and double texture riding macs were the fashion. I love my modern DT machintosh , but would like to go back to the really heavy one I wore then!😢

80's and 90's where it was common to find rubber and smooth PVC raincoats. I live in North America, and it is very rare to find new raincoats that are of this style.
